Sewing 102: Pants Alterations

About:

With demos and samples, the first 2.5 hours of class will cover how to:

-Bringing in pants waist (darts, formal pants seam, jeans/casual pants seam adjustments)

-Taking out pants waistband (looking for extra seam allowance, adding panels)

-Adjusting the rise height 

-Tapering in the seat and legs

Bring a project to get started on after the instruction~ 

*Some sewing experience required for this class. Must be comfortable using a sewing machine and sewing seam allowances. *

Space:

Summit Selvage is located on the corner of 12th Ave and Pike St in Capitol Hill, Seattle. The entrance door will be propped open on the 12th Ave side. The space is down the stairs and the last door on your left. The basement is shared with dance studios, and has unisex bathrooms on the third floor. Parking is a big challenge, but luckily we're 1 block from the 2, 12, and 11 bus stops, as well as .5 miles from the lightrail station.
