About the Event
Get into the vibe for warmer weather with this summer camp inspired event. Come be guided through making your very own beaded lizards and/or other creatures (for example, a frog - we can get creative!). These are great keychains, zipper pulls, or fun gifts. After learning the basics of making the classic 90s beaded lizards, you will also learn how to make jewelry in the same style, using glass seed beads and wire. These are perfect for a pair of earrings, or as charms for a bracelet. Now is your chance to have a one of a kind piece of flair for a backpack pull or key chain, and a unique and handmade piece of jewelry! All levels of experience and ages are welcome :) Materials included: Plastic pony beads and cord
Seed beads and wire
Payment & RSVP:
All materials provided, cost $25. RSVP by venmo'ing @ona-fisher with note "5/31 class"
Instructor: Ona is an artist and nostalgic crafts enthusiast. She has been beading and making jewelry and lizards like this for over 20 years. You can find examples of her beaded work @shit_yeah_design on Instagram or Etsy
Summit Selvage is located on the corner of 12th Ave and Pike St in Capitol Hill, Seattle. The entrance door will be propped open on the 12th Ave side. The space is down the stairs and the last door on your left. The basement is shared with dance studios, and has unisex bathrooms on the third floor. Parking is a big challenge, but luckily we're 1 block from the 2, 12, and 11 bus stops, as well as .5 miles from the lightrail station.
Covid: Masks are currently recommended. Thanks for understanding!
